Introduction to Instructional Video Production to Enhance Student Engagement.

This two day workshop will provide teachers with technical knowledge so that they can record quality videos for student viewing both in and out of the classroom.
No prior experience is required for participation!
The course will instruct teachers in the techniques of capturing quality video and audio, how to edit their captured video and how to export and upload the video to an online platform such as YouTube. Specific topics will include the basics of lighting and videography to get quality images and the basics of audio recording to get quality audio. The Adobe Creative Cloud will be used to edit and enhance the image and audio, as well as exporting the video for upload to the internet, or some other format. Participants in this 12 hour minicourse may earn CTLE credit if desired. Each participant will acquire skills in using using Adobe Creative Cloud but the skills learned can easily be transferred to other applications. Whether you use your videos in a flipped classroom or blended classroom design, this mini course should enhance the quality of your videos.
